Status, 11 September 2026. These terms describe how the site actually works today, and the description is accurate. What is missing is the reviewed legal text — governing law, limitation of liability, dispute resolution — which a lawyer writes and which will replace this box.
The site
Everything you can read — the fixes, the column, the workshops, the marketplace listings — is free and needs no account. It is published as it is, and it is frequently about things that went wrong. Nothing here is professional advice.
The account
An account exists for one purpose: to remember which workshop steps you have passed. It is free. I may end an account that is used to attack the site or to abuse other people; I will say why.
What you buy
Marketplace listings are sold through Polar, which is the merchant of record. Their terms and their refund policy govern the transaction, and your receipt comes from them. What each listing grants is set out in the licence — in short: a perpetual right to build with the code and to resell what you build, never the source as a kit.
Prices are shown as Polar reports them at the time the page was built. If a price on this site disagrees with the price at checkout, the checkout price is the real one.
The member price
Subscribing to the community on Whop issues you your own discount code, which appears in your Whop profile. It applies to the listings marked as carrying the member price, one redemption per code. When the membership ends the code is withdrawn — it stops working at checkout, and anything already bought with it stays bought.
The reading check
Passing a step’s reading check records progress on your account. It is not a certification, it is not verified, and it means only that you answered two of three questions about a page you read.
When it breaks
The site is static and stays up when the rest does not. If the account service is down you will see a page that says so with a 503, never a page pretending to be signed out. Fixes are published here, including the ones that affected this site.
Changes
Changes to these terms are published on this page with the date. There is no mailing list for them; the page is the record.
