# Aftermath — I pressed Run, the command worked, and Claude stayed silent until I typed again

Resolved on 7 October 2026. Receipt: the operator's confirmation after the reload, and eight passing tests including the refused case.

**Reopen if** Claude stays silent after a press following any Claude Code release. The mods API moves per build, and `prompt.submit` is the kind of call that moves.

**What we learned about the kit.** `claude plugin test` cannot answer `session.append` or show whether a turn started. A hand-back must be pressed once for real before it is called done.

**The rule that changed.** A mod that wants Claude to act sends a prompt, not a transcript row.
